Steve Dembo (who has a tatoo of John Lennon, btw) gets it right when he asks “Do you feel that ‘buzz’?” on his post about the IL-TCE Conference which started yesterday outside of Chicago. I’ll be heading out there tonight (weather permitting), but I don’t think I can remember a conference with so much bloggy goodness going on:
My, my, my…how far we’ve come.
Will,
It will be great to see you again. I don’t fly to Chicago until tomorrow morning (weather permitting, it might just be too pretty here in North Carolina). When Joe asked me to deliver an address at this conference, I suggest that I could also do some sessions on blogging or podcasting. He said, “I think we’ve got that covered.” As you indicate in your list, this is certainly true, beyond all imagining. IL-TCE could be the bloggyest conference I’ve attended yet.
I hope to make your 12:45 spotlight address…

was scripting about this post and related it to how K-12 is really starting to shape the future, much more so than the higher education crowd.
He writes…One of the themes I’ve been returning to often is that the K-12 teachers in the trenches are shaping the future for those of us in higher education to a far greater extent than most of us in the college and university arena realize.
I explored the reasons why I think that is… briefly– but been thinking about it all night and I think there is much more to it. http://21stcenturylearning.typepad.com/blog/
