I’ve been playing around with the search to RSS feature of Blogdigger and it definitely is one to add to the list along with Feedster, Google News and Google Alerts. I like how it automatically gives the XML feed FOR all of the results as well as lets you easily create an xml feed OF the results. Over the next couple of weeks I’m going to do some research comparing the four of them with the terms ‘journalism’ and ‘weblogs’ to see how they stack up.
Hi there,
Scott from Feedster here. I just wanted to let you know that any questions you have when you conduct that test, please let me know. scott[aT]feedster.com. Happy to help out. My Im address is fuzzygroup on Yahoo and AIM.
And if you have any suggestions, we’d love to hear them.
Best
Scott
Ditto here. Thanks for the kind words. Let me know if you have any questions!
I’ll jump in the pool here as well. 🙂 While we don’t provide XML feeds of searches, from within Bloglines we do allow you to subscribe to searches. I’d be very curious as how you think our version compares with the others. Thanks!
I did add Bloglines, so it looks like we’ll have a spirited competition! Seriously, I really am interested in what search mines the most relevant stuff, and there are some obvious differences in the results already. I’m going to give it a couple of weeks and then see what kind of conclusions I can draw, if any. Thanks for all your hard work and support.
