If I had wireless, I’d be Tweeting “On a Plane” for the next 22 hours or so. Heading to Australia for eight days of blogvangelizing in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. Three conferences and a day at a school district. Should be fun, but I’m dreading getting on this 757 I’m staring at.
At least my Google Docs and my Google Reader are both operable at 40,000 feet.
See you “down under”…
Welcome to the proper side of the world!!
– I’m a long way from Brisbane but if you need any local help shoot a tweet to @fang

Hi Will, and welcome back to Australia.
Where are you speaking in Sydney. Like LG I was totally unaware that you were coming. If we knew we would have both been there.
Hope all goes well for you, as I’m sure it will.
If you feel liek a day trip to the Paradise of Port Stephens, give us a yell.
Cheers,
Andrew.
@ Will
Have a great time in Australia. On a selfish note I heard a radio commentary on hamburgers all around the world. Can you find out what the Aussies put on their burgers. I hear it is mayo only.
Charile,
They love to put beetroot on burgers too. Actually it’s not bad. Then again I love Vegemite too. Married an Aussie, what can I say?
Whoa. Mayo only!! Now where did tha come from?
Unfortunately with the big push of the usual Burger Chains McDonalds and Burger King, a lot of our traditional Burger Joints are disappearing.
The only burgers I’ve heard of with Mayo come from the American Chains.
We would have on one of our Burgers with the lot.
Meat Pattie (Aussie Beef)
Lettuce
Tomato
Beetroot
Onion
Cheese
Fried Egg
Pineapple
No Mayo here!!
Sauce, normally Tomato Sauce or BBQ.
Have a safe trip Will – we may be so far from home for you but to actually meet you will be so powerful for so many educators. Have yourself a wonderful time downunder!!
Will,
Have a great time in Oz I agree TFT regarding the burgers … they are to die for… otherwise you need to give vegamite or marmite a go… acquired taste for me.
I am fortunate to have married an Beautiful Aussie in Caloundra (Sunshine Coast – just North of Brisbane) if you have the time beautiful quiet area to stroll the beach.
Had I known yo were going we could have chatted about this before you embarked.
Take Care and Enjoy..
Fantastic to have you winging your way to visit us all. We’re very excited…and I’m looking forward to dinner on Tuesday. Just think..see the guru in ‘the flesh’. Sends chills down my spine 🙂
Hmm…only try a little vegamite at first-that is definitely an acquired taste. My Aussie roommates had me try a little of it, and I didn’t care for it at all. Have fun down under!
