Bye-bye Blogroll

October 8, 2003 By Will Richardson

I’ve decided to get rid of my edublogger blogroll on this page and just link instead to my public Bloglines list. It’s easier just to update in one place, and it’s a heck of a lot easier to scan through the entries that way. BTW, Bloglines has been doing some upgrades to their service, and it just keeps getting easier and easier. Now, if only they would let me delete my bookmarks…

In case anyone is interested, I’ve been setting up all of my teachers with Bloglines accounts, and they love them. I’ve also added the feed to every site I create both student and teacher to my private list so that I can do a real fast scan through all the posts that kids are making. So far, that’s only about 25-30 a day, and it makes me sleep better at night knowing I can track what they are posting. I know my teachers know it’s ultimately their responsibility, but this is an easy way of backing it up.

UPDATE: I just realized Bloglines has a piece of script that will automatically update my blogroll here when I change it there. So, it’s back. Very cool.
