I am so very proud of the work being done with “the Blurb”. How exciting for all the students involved. This is a prime example of teaching and learning at it’s best. Kudos to teachers who value 21st Century teaching an learning. Kudos to students who realize the importance of 21st Century skills that include communication, ethics, critical thinking and problem solving, creativitey, responsibility, accountability, collaboration, etc. Another important skill is media literacy, and with Web 2.0, this has taken on a whole new meaning. “The Blurb” is the perfect example or what “relevance” means in today’s educational experiences. I only wish that we could “bottle” as distribute the kind of dedication this work takes but I am absolutely positive that any teacher that ventures into Web 2.0 experiences with his or her students will reap benifits never thought possible. Engaged students! Students excited about learning, who “want” to come to school, who become better scholars and global citizens – all at the same time. Congratulaions and keep up this outstanding work.
