Frankly, I think we’re all getting a little giddy around here. Amazing what a title and a cool looking logo will do for you. From what I can gather, Pat‘s vision is a wireless laptop connection while sitting in the front row of the State Opera with a couple of sixpacks of some nearly outlawed pilsner while…well, we won’t go there. Pam‘s “WooHooing” (whatever happened to spaces since Manila?) wildly in some smoky coffee shop in downtown Columbus, Ohio, of all places, having “fulfilled my dream of blogging amongst a crowded cafe of people.” (I didn’t think Ohio had cafes.) Meanwhile, Joe (who obviously needs to have MORE kids) is ruminating on the “cultural convergence” of the eBN, and “The Jerk”, linked to my embarrasing display of emotion yesterday.
People, people! Please! Catch hold of yourselves! There is much work ahead of us! Breath deeply and focus…
Personally, I think Pat is putting too much pressure on us all with his reckless albeit brilliant construction of the eBN. I can scarcely sleep at night…oh, the ideas! And Pam, who never sleeps anyway, has already appointed herself in charge of eBN online training. (Can I be membership chairman??? Puhleeese?)
Ok…ok…I’ll stop. In all seriousness, this is very cool. On some level, I still ain’t believin’ it. And it may be time to consider divying up some of the work, getting serious, and using eBNvention (time to change the name) as a coronation for all things good and holy about Web logs in schools. We’ve got 10 months. We’ve got a crazed and surly renegade at the helm. We’ve got the best educational idea since…oh I don’t know…how about pencils, in our sights. On! On!
