Just Down the Road…

June 29, 2006 By Will Richardson

The third time in two years the Delaware has flooded. This is about a 1/4 mile down the road from my house. Thankfully, we’re on a little rise… There is a house just to the left of this shot that the owners have been restoring since the last flood. They just got it finished. Oy.

Here in Maryland we’ve had our problems with this storm. Our house is next to a creek, but, due to the dry spring season, it did not flood the yard. We are up on a hillside and are grateful for that.

Lots of details on what’s happening. Robblogs reports that a couple of truckers died when they plunged off a bridge washed out on Route 88 near Sydney.
