Lunch RSS

(via Scripting News) Enough of this work stuff, already. I need to do some posting. Like the Allegheny College Dining Services RSS feed, for instance. They get it. I just absolutley, must, have to start getting some parents at this school up to speed on RSS feeds, ’cause once the demand is there…lunch menus, sports schedules, homework, student content. It’ll be a feeding frenzy, if you know what I mean.

    I have been thinking about ways to do this as well. I think that developments in development will make it easier and inevitable for more and more parents and districts to embrace RSS a means to distribute timely info. Microsoft, Apple, Yahoo and Google to name just a few are using RSS extensively and are really forcing users to get up to speed. As a school district, providing RSS software on CD might be an option, but more importantly, districts need to start making EVERYTHING they are trying to communicate to their communities available as feeds. And that community include the teachers…
