Continuing with my specific interest with Web logs as journalism tools, this OJR article talks about how the best coverage of the media’s performance during this weekend’s disaster came from the Internet and specifically, Web logs.
…but the coverage of the coverage at Lost Remote, Jim Romenesko’s Media News, Jonathan Dube’s Cyberjournalist.net and the Washington Post’s double-punch of Media Notes and Filter gave me a more complete picture of the media’s performance under pressure. It’s no accident that these columns are in weblog format, and that they have loyal industry followings.
Now that I’m teaching journalism for the final time (the one course that I will truly miss), I want to explore this whole blog as j concept in some depth.
