Some good old web logging on a Sunday…
- Now here’s an idea…”An effective approach would be to create Weblogging Consortiums — groups of webloggers who band together to lease a server for an entire year, thereby sharing the costs of the server among themselves.” Shelly Powers. Certainly there are enough “haves” to support the “have nots” until edu weblogging becomes mainstream. I’d be willing to offer up some space…anyone else?
- MSNBC to use weblogs instead of discussion groups!?! This one will be worth watching. (From Nick Denton)
- Now this is a cool look. How he do that?
Re: consortiums, this from June 20. For schools, it’s slightly more complicated, I think. Volume and security for starters. Reading about the hardware specs on a really good server set up makes it pretty clear.
