The Blogging Life

August 1, 2003 By Will Richardson

Having some forced time off was a good thing, I think, but it hasn’t taken me long to get back to spending more time than I probably should reading and writing online. One interesting revelation I’ve had is that I didn’t spend nearly as much time reading Web logs when I couldn’t comment in my own. Not sure what that means, but it does speak to the two-way conversation aspect of doing this. We may use our spaces to chronicle our thinking and manage our knowledge, but the fact that we do it in public is ultimately the draw for most of us. It’s that whole public writing thing again. Anyway, Dave Pollard really breaks it down. I thought I spent a lot of time on this…just wait ’til I’m an empty nester (like in 18 years…)
