Weblogs I Read

August 9, 2002 By Will Richardson

Weblog Theory
Here’s what I’m having my media kids do…feedback welcomed.

“Writing the Paper:

By Friday, each group should have posted a bare bones draft of the written portion of the project to the class Web log. The discussion under this post will show the evolution and the collaboration of the paper. Each group member is expected to contribute writing, editing, and ideas to this process. Any time you want to make a change or suggestion, simply copy and paste the latest version of your group’s paper into the message box and make changes. Since Manila allows the use of colors, each group member should select a color to work with so that all of his/her efforts on the drafts are apparent. (I know this will result in dozens of drafts…that’s fine.) Please make sure that the names and colors are included in the initial post so we can reference the edits.

Also, I know that some of the work you do on the written portion will be done in class. Please work within the Web log when doing so, and color reference the ideas, edits etc. of each group member.

By next Wednesday, there should be a full rough draft posted that I can give some feedback on. Final copies of the paper complete with Works Cited and Title Page are due the following Wednesday, Jan 22.”
